Notarization Standards of Practice (Identification Requirements)
Oregon Notaries may accept identification documents from the following list as satisfactory evidence of a document signer's identity providing they are current or have expired within three years of the date of notarization (OR 194.240 [2][a]):
A driver's license or identification card issued by any US state
A U.S. Passport book, card, or officially recognized passport of a foreign country
A U.S. military identification card containing a photograph and signature
An identity card issued by the federally recognized Indian tribe containing a photograph and signature
Any U.S. government-issued ID containing a photograph and signature
A state, county or local government ID containing a photograph and signature
Correctional records may be used if the individual is confined in a correctional facility
